How does the “Chemical Solution (Remover)” method used in permanent makeup removal work?

Chemical removal (Remover), unlike laser treatment, does not break down the pigment and send it into the body; instead, it removes the pigment from the skin’s surface through a “removal” process. The solution (usually special compounds based on fruit acids or sea salt) is applied superficially to the pigmented area using a permanent makeup machine, just like applying permanent makeup. As soon as the solution binds to the pigment molecules under the skin, it weighs down the chemical structure of the pigment and pulls it upwards. After the procedure, dense crusts form in that area in the color of the pigment, and as the crusts fall off, the pigment is expelled from the skin. This is the most effective method for removing green, blue, white, or skin-colored pigments that lasers cannot detect.
