These adhesives prevent the scalp from breathing, disrupt sebum balance, and clog pores, which causes the weak hair underneath to fall out even faster (traction alopecia and hair loss due to lack of air). These individuals can extend the life of the underlying follicles by undergoing intensive cleansing treatments and hair mesotherapy in a clinical setting on the days they have their hair removed for prosthesis maintenance, after the adhesives have been completely removed.
