Mesotherapy involves injecting laboratory-prepared cocktails of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, salmon DNA, and hyaluronic acid into the lower layers of the skin (dermis); in other words, it’s an external, ready-made nutritional supplement. PRP, on the other hand, involves taking the person’s own blood, centrifuging it, and then reintroducing the plasma, enriched with growth factors and platelets, back into the skin; it’s a completely natural process and utilizes the person’s own repair mechanism. Mesotherapy should be preferred if the skin needs hydration, skin lightening agents, and immediate vitamin boost; PRP should be preferred if the skin needs general cellular regeneration, scar repair, and collagen stimulation.
