How does “Focus Ultrasound” (HIFU) technology, used for wrinkles around the eyes, work?

Update date: 11 June 2026

Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a technology that uses high-intensity focused sound waves. Without damaging the skin’s surface, the device focuses sound waves into the skin’s shallower layers – 1.5 mm, 3 mm, or even shallower around the eyes – creating “thermal coagulation points” (micro-heat foci at 65-70 degrees Celsius) at that depth. This high heat instantly shortens and deflects collagen fibers that loosen with age (collagen contraction), triggering a very strong new collagen production for the next 3 months. In a single session, it reduces fine lines around the eyes, tightens crow’s feet, and lifts a sagging brow bone without surgery.
